Compliance
How we stay compliant
Last updated: September 2026
Everything we build is designed to follow the laws that apply to data, marketing and AI — for us and for the customers who use our products. This page summarizes how. It applies to all of our products and services, current and future; the privacy policy and terms of service have the details.
Data sources
- Our data products are built from public government records — building permits and property land-use records — obtained through official open-data portals, public permit search systems, and California Public Records Act requests.
- We record where each record came from and when, and deliver only what the source actually shows.
- We don’t add personal contact details (names, phone numbers, emails) to property records.
Privacy (California)
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.
- California residents can ask to know, correct or delete their information by emailing [email protected].
- When we process information for a customer (for example, an AI assistant answering their calls), we act as their service provider and use it only for that customer.
Marketing communications
- Email (CAN-SPAM): every marketing email identifies us, includes our business address and a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribes are honored permanently.
- Text messages (TCPA): we text only people who gave consent, consent is never required to buy, and STOP always works.
- Calls: AI assistants we operate call or text only as the law and the person’s consent allow.
AI transparency
- AI voice assistants we operate say they are AI at the start of every call.
- Calls are recorded only with notice at the start of the call, as California law requires.
- Information from a customer’s callers is never used to train AI models without permission.
Payments and security
- Payments run through a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people and systems that need it.
Your responsibilities as a customer
When you use our leads or tools for your own marketing, you’re responsible for following the rules that apply to it — including direct-mail, email, call and text regulations, and any contractor licensing and advertising requirements. Lead data is licensed for your own business only and may not be resold.
